"I say call their bluff. Cut trillions from the budget. Make damn sure you close EVERY military base in a red state. Refuse all aid to red states. Not one penny to their highways. Not one penny to their schools. If a military weapon is made in a red state, move the contract to a manufacturer in a blue state. If, as they truly believe, "government is THE problem", let them live without it. The howl of pain from these states when they find out how absolutely dependant they are on the Federal government will be music to all of our ears. No Republican can protest this plan because it does exactly what they want. They want the budget cut. So cut it. Let Texas, Mississippi, Alaska, Alabama, etc., etc. bleed. We need to raise taxes. These people refuse to allow it. Let them do without or force them to grow up and pay their taxes and stop demonizing the very government they are so reliant upon. Within six months, the Tea Party would cease to exist and adults will come back into the fold of the Republican Party and our country will be a Union once again. And then we set about the task of fixing our financial problem responsibly with measured taxes and measured cuts."  ¶ 7:06 AM
